The reporter learned from Nanchang Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology yesterday that according to the requirements of the “Management Measures of Nanchang City for Sci-tech Business Incubators and Mass Maker Spaces” (H.K.G.Z.[2021] No. 2), after the application of the reporting unit, the review by the county/district sci-tech management departments, and Nanchang Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, and experts’ field assessment, Jiangxi Weiao Science and Technology Business Incubator, College Student Maker Space of Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology, Nanchang Boku High-level Talent Maker Space, Nanchang XR Industrial Maker Space passed the accreditation of 2024 Nanchang sci-tech business incubators and maker spaces (filing).

Sci-tech business incubator is a “bridgehead” to promote the high-quality development of innovation and entrepreneurship. Up to now, there are 34 sci-tech business incubators at or above the municipal level, including 9 at the national level, 12 at the provincial level and 13 at the municipal level. There are 91 maker spaces at or above the municipal level, including 18 at the national level, 22 at the provincial level and 51 at the municipal level.

Nanchang Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology gives a one-time subsidy of 200,000 yuan, 300,000 yuan and 500,000 yuan to the newly accredited municipal, provincial and national comprehensive incubators respectively. The newly accredited municipal, provincial and national professional incubators will be granted a one-time subsidy of 300,000 yuan, 400,000 yuan and 600,000 yuan respectively. A one-time subsidy of 200,000 yuan and 300,000 yuan will be given to the newly registered provincial and national comprehensive maker spaces respectively. A one-time subsidy of 300,000 yuan and 400,000 yuan will be given to the newly registered provincial and national professional maker spaces respectively. In addition, Nanchang Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology will regularly evaluate the performance of accredited municipal sci-tech business incubators and mass maker spaces. For incubators and maker spaces that are rated as excellent and good for performance assessment, awards of 300,000 yuan and 150,000 yuan will be given each time.
